Extracellular Matrix (ECM) Integration Therapy
I have been practicing a new modality called ECM Integration Therapy, and I am very excited about the results we are achieving with clients here in Cambridge. This modality complements the Bowen Technique perfectly, as they both work gently and effectively at the fascia level using different stimuli.
It has been a privilege to have learned this groundbreaking body therapy directly from its founder, Claire Graziano, a somatic body therapist, psycho-educator, counsellor, and trauma recovery practitioner.
ECM Integration Therapy allows the fascia to release deep-rooted tension in a gentle and pain-free way. The practitioner uses a cotton fabric while exerting gentle pressure, which 'melts' the fascia and allows the ECM to flow again. Our experience is that this modality allows clients to feel their body in a new way, and most can ‘feel’ their fascia for the first time. It also encourages deep releases not often experienced with traditional massage therapies.
What is Extracellular Matrix (ECM) Integration Therapy?
ECM stands for extracellular matrix, while Integration Therapy is the body therapy of the ECM, which supports the fascia system.

⭐ "I was offered ECM Integration Therapy by Myriam about two years ago, and have been experiencing it since then in monthly sessions, in between conventional Bowen techniques. At the time I was experiencing very difficult muscular spasms in my back and side as well as long-standing tightness in my legs.
It is a unique technique, creating a sense that the fascia is is being gently invited to follow the hands through the cloth, at the same time encouraging the mind to allow the body simply feel. The feeling of dual movement as the cloth moves under the moving hands is deeply relaxing and I am left in a calm and rested state.
My symptoms have significantly eased and I feel this is in no small part to the ECM method.”

⭐ "I just had the most incredible session with Myriam! She is highly skilled and attentive, tailoring the session to my specific needs. The pressure and sensitivity was perfect, and I felt my tension and past trauma melting away with each stroke. The ambiance was peaceful and calming, and I left feeling like a new person. Highly recommend!”

⭐ "My first thought after my session with Myriam, was that it was the most physically enjoyable experience I'd ever had. The subtle movements of the knowing hands with the cloth nudged my body to completely relax and release. Lovely energy flowed as it was unstuck. My only regret is that I know such amazing healing work is possible, yet I live too far to take advantage. So, I will look forward to my next opportunity to receive this special gift. Thank you Myriam for your contribution to all the bodies.”

What is Extracellular Matrix (ECM) Integration Therapy?
ECM stands for extracellular matrix, while Integration Therapy is the body therapy of the ECM, which supports the fascia system.
What is the ECM?
- Fascia is a thin casing of connective tissue that surrounds and holds every muscle, organ, blood vessel, nerve fibre, and bone in place.
- The extracellular matrix (ECM) is a large network of proteins and other molecules that surround, support, and give structure to cells and fascia.
ECM Integration Therapy incorporates:
- Tom Myers' work on the fascial lines (Anatomy Trains)
- The Polyvagal Theory from Steven Porges
- The latest research on crucial wellbeing hormones
- A trauma-informed practice
